About
The H.O.O.D Heroes mission is to empower children and families, living in the urban communities of Philadelphia, by providing them with educational enrichment, mental health awareness, character development, violence prevention, financial literacy, and nutrition awareness to order to assist them in discovering their inner superpowers to use for good purposes across their communities. We want to help develop heroes of all ages to equip them with the skills to live productive lives now and in the future.
Through our multiple initiatives including The Batman and Robin Mentorship Program, The Super Mom Squad, and our monthly community service events, we pledge to provide the community with the tools needed to succeed amidst the adversity they may face on a day to day basis. It is always important to remember that heroes are not made on the paths they grew up on, rather they are made by the paths they choose.

Our History
H.O.O.D Heroes, which is an acronym for Highly-Valued, Outstanding, Open-Minded, & Developing Heroes, was established in 2018 and developed as a non-profit organization in 2021. The H.O.O.D Heroes organization was created to help change the negative stigma attached to inner-city communities, and shine a positive light on the beauty, talent, and potential within.
